Polly’s Comfy Clam Perch is a flat perch designed to distribute weight over the complete foot area for maximum comfort.  This perch contains Kelp, Iodine, and Calcium which is beneficial in the following ways:   

• Size small is 2 in. thick x 4.5 in. long & is recommended for parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, conures and other birds similar in size
• Size Large is 3 in. thick x 7.5 in. long & is recommended for Large Macaws such as Green Wings, Hyacinths, Moluccan Cockatoos and other large and destructive parrots.  Size Large is a huge perch!
• Kelp is an excellent mineral supplement for birds and is prized for its iodine content.
• Iodine is essential for normal thyroid function which is missing in most birds’ diet.
• Most veterinarians recommend Calcium for caged birds.

 Polly’s Comfy Clam perch may be installed horizontally or vertically.  Install it in the vertical position to allow your bird to adapt to this unique perch.  Then slowly rotate to the horizontal position for maximum comfort.  Rotating from vertical to horizontal offers a variety of perching options which promote healthier feet and leg muscles, eliminating painful foot pressure points.
